About the Webmaster
Hi, I'm Mark.
Here I am busy at my favorite pastime - spending "quality time"
. . . with one of my grandkids.
I have several "hobbies." One is developing web pages. I write most of the HTML from scratch, and have done several personal sites and business sites for myself and others.
I also dabble in the fine arts. That is, every few years I get the urge to do a few drawings and paintings.

I have a business partner named Kelvin, and together we run All State Products and Services Company, Inc., or ALLSERVICO for short. ALLSERVICO has a division called Commercial Woodwork Solutions, and that's where I earn my living.

That's me on the left, finishing up a job in one of Dallas's premier skyscrapers, Cityplace. For the job, we milled a couple hundred linear feet of 12/4 mahogany into large bullnose molding, finished it, installed it, cleaned-up the joints and nail holes and now I'm doing the final finish phase which I reserved for post-installation. I sprayed a very light coat of toner to "blend it all in" and to final-match the color with the surrounding wood, and then shot two topcoats of pre-catalyzed laquer with the HVLP.
I've been working with film finishes for over 30 years, beginning with automotive finishes at age 18. I began working on wood finishes about 20 years ago.
Although I've worked on wood for a living doing furniture repairwork, refinishing, and more recently millwork fabrication and installation, woodworking is also one of my hobbies. From a hobbyist's perspective, I enjoy building custom furniture, doing fancy veneer work, hanging around the Woodnet Off-topic forum and getting together with other forum members. And surely that's enough about me . . . hope you enjoy the woodworking information on my website.

New Pages. Rounded out the Articles section by putting up the pages on Turning Bondo into Mahogany and What's Wrong with Furniture Polishes?.
There is still alot of incomplete material on the website: No videos have been put up, no pages on my present shop, and a couple of articles have not been completed (Veneer article and Finishing article).

New Pages. Bunch of new pages up, including more projects and articles like how to make a winnie the pooh marquetry, and the excellent woodworking calculators by Joel Watson that I've waited so long to get back up! We have a pulley speed calculator, a band saw speed calculator and an arc math calculator! Enjoy!

New Pages. I finally took some time to work on the "projects" area of the website, by posting a page on this camp kitchen that I recently built. I also (finally) uploaded the document valet project. None of the other project pages are up yet, but should be very soon.

Goodbye to Britney. It is with a great deal of sadness that we announce the removal of Britney Spears articles from this website. Her hot little presence here was fun for awhile, but she has now retired from woodworking and we are removing her articles and pictures.
A lack of webspace has forced us to clean up all of our website files, so the removal of many unnecessary images has been [heh heh] necessary.
As for Britney, we are retaining only five images of the lass, including the one shown here. She will appear from time to time in our articles, but in a much reduced role.
Please send your requests [for anything at all] to your local Britney fan club. As usual, the webmaster here just don't give a rip. ;)

New Pages. I recently built the upgraded Box Joint Jig from Shopnotes magazine, Vol. 11, No. 62. In addition, I have added a general interest page hosting a Webcam Image of the Grand Canyon.
Other News. Due to limited webspace, I've been cleaning up all the websites by deleting unnecessary files. Unfortunately for this site, most of the Britney Spears pics had to go . . .
If there is a bright side to this, it is that the site will be concentrating harder on publishing good articles and more projects.
